DublinLive Feature – Celebrating South African Cuisine in Dublin
Dine With Lelo was proudly featured in DublinLive for hosting a vibrant South African dining experience in the heart of Dublin. The article highlighted how guests from South Africa, Ireland, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Italy, and Croatia gathered around one long communal table to celebrate food, culture, and connection.
The feature introduced founder Nompumelelo “Lelo” Cele’s vision of bringing the warmth of traditional South African family-style meals to Ireland. Rooted in Durban culinary heritage, Dine With Lelo’s Long Table experience blends comfort food, storytelling, and shared hospitality to create deep emotional memories for diners.
Guests enjoyed a feast of classic South African comfort dishes, including Durban beef stew, braai chicken, tender pork neck, pap, spicy chakalaka, crostini, milk tart, and syrup-soaked koeksisters — offering Dublin a true taste of South African home cooking.

“Food has a way of taking you somewhere. You can taste something and suddenly remember a person, a place, a Sunday afternoon, your childhood.”
